I have two children that rely on me, I wouldn't even consider risking my life for someone outside of my family, even then, if it were someone other than my children I'd be ambivalent. Journalists revisited them 10 yrs later, and they were so much worse off. Didn't have the stamina nor the health they used to have, therefore could not work nearly as hard as they used to. Don't kid yourself. It's a major, major operation which may very possibly impact your health and life force in a substantial way. I believe in helping out our fellow man, but I draw the line at the intrusion into my body. |
