If she wants you to kiss her, and you don't, she'll be disappointed, feel bad about herself, and then she'll transfer that onto you.

If she doesn't want you to kiss her, and you try to, she'll let you know. Let it go, don't be an awkward wuss about it, and try it again next time. In the time between dates, she'll be thinking "omg, he tried to kiss me. He likes me!".

It might take a few dates, but she'll be ready for that kiss eventually.

If you have a BAD first kiss, laughingly put the blame on yourself, make light of it, and hope that the next one is better.

granted most chicks will only react badly if you go for a full tongue kiss on the first date if they dont like you, but theyll step away from you before you get close enough to touch them.

When you are the process of learning something new, you dont kick yourself when you dont 'win' the first time. I'd think she'd respect you more, if you kissed her cheek, because you are showing her respect and not just "going for it", know what I mean?

However, if she is ignoring you now, then maybe the date went well for you, and it wasn't the kiss that ended this...it was just that she wasn't into you as much as you were into her?
