What the fuck is your point tard? my point is that he's raised fucking taxes for the middle class by a huge amount already, this healthcare bullshit will raise them even higher by requiring employers to pay for their employees health care or be fined 250,000 dollars a year, obama seems to have a hard on for 250,000 PEOPLE WHO MAKE 250K ARE NOT MIDDLE CLASS TARDO! Quoting: Doommincus Maximus No, people with insurance get their insurance company billed, and are usually responsible for a co-pay amount (i.e. $100 for a Emergency room visit) What if you are severly injured or dying and you dont have enough money to pay them, what happens, or do you have to pay first. No. ALL people with any life threatening condition are treated and stabilized REGARDLESS of their ability to pay. It's the law in all 50 states. The liberal media, and propaganda experts, have deluded some people into believing that the 7.4% of the population that have no insurance are denied treatment for serious conditions...it's not only false, it's against the law. Between private insurance, medicaid (state free health insurance), medicare (federal free insurance for the elderly), special state-sponsored child care programs, and other community and charity health programs, their are an estimated 7.4% of the population that have no coverage at all....not the 30-35% that the liberals have been spewing. I'm keen to understand how the system works now, and what affect this new system will have, could someone explain for me please. Answers to your questions highlighted in RED above. One problem is tort laws that allow lawsuit for ridiculous things. If a doctor has a patient with a pain, and 99% of the time it can be diagnosed with simple procedures, but there is an infinitesimal chance the procedure might miss something, they send them on to the cat scan or MRI to avoid a potentially devastating lawsuit. This often costs the insurance company thousands of dollars. Obama stated early on he was against tort reform, because lawyers contribute heavily to the Dems. Another problem is the welfare people that check in with "stomach pains" to get a clean bed, color TV with remote, free drugs, and three squares a day. Dozens did this on a regular basis at his hospital in a major city. It costs tax payers tens of thousands every day. The final problem is that Medicare sets the standards that all doctors have to comply with. My oldest son is in his second year of residency. They are literally working him to death. He was a great kid, Eagle Scout, worked 40 hour weeks while going to college. Graduated college in three years. In his first year of residency he saw the truth. In his internal medicine rotation he could see one patient every 30 minutes. 7-8 minutes seeing the patient, 20 minutes filling out redundant forms, required everywhere because of Medicare standards. He has 200,000 of med school debt, and now his future is being stripped from him by obamacare. I highly advise potential premeds to think twice about going to med school. Mountains of debt, delayed income, then a mountain of government regulations, now obamacare. I don't write this for the hard headed liberals on here. Quoting: N3m3s1s Main issue for doctors is that they are being mandated too and regulated like never before. Most of Obamacare focuses on regulations, not the patient. That's what most people don't get. It's all about reporting back to the government. They will be determining your treatments and watching every facet of your "care". This is scary. Take some time and dissect the bill. It's a whopper, makes our tax code look like 1st grade reading. I've worked in healthcare for the last 4 years in 3 different capacities and have witnessed various aspects of what Obamacare is and will be. One of the the first things was "Meaningful Use". In short, you and I got to pay medical providers to get up to speed with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), to the tune of $18,000 per year, per physician that complied. There are many microcosms within "Meaningful Use". It forces providers to completely change how they see patients. There are dozens and dozens of "measures" that must be met, all adding up to a big pain in the ass for doctors. Meaningful Use is mandatory for any physician that wishes to accept Medicare. Guess what? Thousands of doctors are bailing on Medicare because it isn't worth the bullshit. They simply won't take Medicare any longer. Secondly, by the time the "Cadillac" rule kicks in, about 60% of the policies out there are going to fall under that stupid fucking rule. Basically, it punishes you and me for having a real job with real benefits that we earned because we actually possess a viable skill. All "Cadillac" health plans will be hit with a 40% tax. The law passed in 2009 and they set the ceiling at that time. It doesn't actually take effect until 2019 and doesn't account for inflation. They are laying off their employees and opening up overseas, where they are not taxed. [link to www.usatoday.com] Then there are all the elderly that will be killed to save money. The new rule is that the hospital if fined if they readmit a person on medicare within a month of them being hospitalized. So when your mother breaks a hip, they will admit her. But then when she goes back to the hospital 3 weeks later with pneumonia, they will be fined if they admit her. Even if it's for a different problem, or at a different hospital. So instead of getting admitted and living, she's given a prescription to take home and dies. Thanks Obama for killing Grandma! I could go on. It's more then 2,000 pages of job, people, and Constitutional rights killing crap. |

Want to lower medical costs? Make the government the insurer of Doctors for malpractice and limit liability for Docs. Its that simple. But the trial lawyers will fight you tooth and nail because that is their bread and butter. The entire concept of health care in America is fucked. We are looking at it from the wrong perspective. We look at it as if we can live a long time if we get the proper care. That is a fallacy. Reality is we will all die.Doctors may be able to delay your death,or ease your pain. Finally-start taking some responsibility for your own health, and lifestyle choices. If you smoke you will face the consequences. If you engage in risky sex you will pay the piper(no pun). If you drink you will deal with the damage. I do not want to sound harsh on this, but doctors are not miracle workers who save you like House does on tv.They usually just pass out drugs and medicine made by big pharma. In a few years you may be able to get the diagnoses from an I-phone app. The actual mechanical stuff can be done after a small blood test(built in) and symptoms check. For the mechanical then you see a Doc or a nurse. Wham your health care costs just went to a 15 dollar a month app subscription. Sounds outrageous? Its closer than you think. |
