She is beside herself. Now that the final nail has been driven into the US medical industry it's hit her hard. Quoting: N3m3s1s Main issue for doctors is that they are being mandated too and regulated like never before. Most of Obamacare focuses on regulations, not the patient. That's what most people don't get. It's all about reporting back to the government. They will be determining your treatments and watching every facet of your "care". This is scary. Take some time and dissect the bill. It's a whopper, makes our tax code look like 1st grade reading. :dramaqueenz: |

Insurance is a big headache from hell. I'm happy to pay cash for my primary care physician. In and out at $75.00 for great care. No co-pays or hidden costs mandated by my insurance company. It's the best way to go. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19490298 Expect that practicing medicine outside of Government approval will become a criminal offense. FatalW1shes User ID: 18009481 United States 11/07/2012 10:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Much longer wait times to begin with. Doctors in my office ...well We used to be able to see patients every 20 minutes. Now it takes over 40 because of the government mandated EMR (Electronic Medical Record) This software is linked back so they know exactly what you are doing, what you are planning and the complete history of the patient. Since we can only see 1/2 the patients we used to see, we have to charge more to cover the costs. First off the EMR was over 500,000 dollars. Then the hardware was over 120,000. Then the licenses and everything....well lets put it this way, it costs a lot. So back to the patient. Your chances of seeing a doctor in time are less. Meaning if you have a tumor and you cannot be seen because you could not be scheduled to see a specialist in time to detect the tumor, you are in deep shit. We can see 1/2 the patients and pretty much stopped taking medicare. It costs us money to see medicare patients. We cannot pay for the EMR, Lights, front staff, medical malpractice insurance, nurses, feed or familes and see patients for free. I've witnessed many doctors retiring early. It's not worth it. There will be less doctors willing to deal with the bullshit and low pay. When you have to go to school for 10 years you wrack up a lot of student debt. Doctors need to make money at a certain level to survive. Since they are branded as rich and evil by this administration nobody is going to give a shit until they cannot get help. Only then it will be too late. You will be given a timeline to die and sent home because your tumor was discovered too late. Free Healthcare is not free. Nothing is free. There are unintended consequences to everything. I wish this country good luck. |

KoFFee_ User ID: 1373078 United States 11/07/2012 10:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The coming Obamacare rationing One of the major fears Americans have with regards to the impending regulations of the Affordable Care Act is the formation of death panels. Even though no such panels exist so far, the fact remains there will be significant rationing of health care resources at all levels. One method is through the implementation of the “complete lives system.” This model was described in an article in The Lancet, co-authored by Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Rahm Emanuel and former special adviser for health policy to the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget. Like Goldilocks in her visit to the bears, an American seeking treatment in the future will have to fall into the “just right” category in order to receive care. The “complete lives system” is based on age and how productive the person will be to benefit the state. The chance of a patient receiving treatment or a procedure increases if that patient is between the ages of 15 and 50. The only patients receiving treatment will be the ones fitting into the proper age group, the ones who are “just right.” Read the rest here: [link to www.washingtontimes.com] However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24 "This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. Having been in the medical field I can say from experience there are very few foreign trained doctors I would go to for care. Of course there are poorly trained American physicians but overall the foreign ones I have seen are not as knowledgeable and sometimes are lazy and don't want to see their patients in the hospital. We just had a doctor from China in our town who was reprimanded by the medical board for not returning the calls of a nurse regarding a patient going bad. Apparently not his first time. |
