Aw fucking boo hoo doctors actually have to practice medicine. They can no longer run patients through like cattle. They can't just glance at a chart and dash off an expensive prescription. They can no longer cheat medicare. They are finally held accountable. And that what a lot of those whiney ass dotors are really complaining about.

I'm sorry that you are uneducated and label the medical field in this way. Before you open your mouth you should do some research. I am not a physician but work with physicians and hospital staff on the administrative side. I've been in this business for 20 years and the medical community is suffering from "Healthcare Reform". This simply means TPTB are imposing severe guidelines and lowering payments severely. Many doctors genuinely went in this field to help people. The healthcare reform has so much that is unseen by the patient community. EVERYTHING is required to be entered and stored electronically and the medical practices will have to report certain "quality measures" that pertain to YOUR DIAGNOSIS to the government payers. The doctor's will be Penalized if this is not done in the upcoming future. The insurance companies are already dropping their payments to extreme levels for Medicare and Medicaid members. So much so that they can't even cover the overhead. The welfare patients have it freakin made!! Doctor's do not profit at all from welfare cases. These are basically charity and most of their cost is written off as a loss with no profit. Medicaid patients cannot be billed anything further. Actually the average family doctor does not make alot of money. Think about the cost of leasing an office, staff salary and not to mention the cost they pay to obtain malpractice insurance. Billing and postage. On top of that the government now wants to control and access patient record keeping. The average cost to install an "APPROVED" EHR system is upwards of $18,000. Our little family practice doctor's are'nt going to be able to continue their practices that serv you! They will be forced into a larger hospital doctor group which leads to another disgrace as the hospital's are starting to bill office visits as outpatient hospital stays which relates a higher cost to you. An office visit copay will not apply in these cases. You will be billed for your portion of an outpatient visit. Do a google seach on EHR/EMR and PQRI. Look it up!It's only going to get worse.
