records kept. the day before
Lincoln was shot Booth created
an account in the local bank
with a $1,500 check from Pike.
He deposited $1K of it and kept
$500 of it for travel expenses
and a flintlock pistol.
After the assassination of Lincoln,
the KGC got a bad reputation then Pike
changed it's name to the KKK.
Today, Pike has a memorial in DC.
The ONLY Confederate General to have
one, not even Robert E Lee was recognized
above Pike.
