I pay $30 a week and the last two times I went to a doctor I ended up owing $210 and $80. The first time for an upper respiratory infection the second time for bronchitis. Now I understand my insurance is going to cost me between 3 and 5 thousand dollars a year, depending on who you listen to. I can't afford that. That's anywhere from roughly a third to half my income. So thanks to Obamacare, I'm going to jail. Yeah, OP. It's a wonderful thing. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 27117254 11/07/2012 11:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't know about anyone else without insurance... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1421478 But I don't pay much more than this for regular routine visits right now. Obviously if some kind of inpatient surgical procedure needs to be done or tests or whatever, that costs money, but just going to the doctor and getting a prescription or physical or whatever does not cost much more than this already. Frankly if you really wanted to lower costs you would make much of the equipment and machines that are only available to those with physicians licenses registered with the FDA available to anyone who can afford them. Also, all non-addictive/marcotic/opiate medications should be available without prescription. Its crazy how much they charge over in your country...It cost me nothing for when i had to get a colonoscopy, imagine that over there..probably an arm and a leg. Take insurance out of the equation and your heath costs will fall. You're missing the point OP. Under ObamaCare Americans are MANDATED to purchase insurance so we CANNOT factor out the cost of insurance premiums. What's more, the same insurance companies who have been screwing us so well under the current/past system will have the law forcing us to bend over while they stick it to us. There is no way in hell anything good is going to come from this. |

You line up at the emergency room where the government says you can’t be turned away. (Ironic, huh? Typical cluster-fuck thinking.) What could have been cured or treated with a clinic visit is now pneumonia and the bill is many thousands of dollars. Who pays it? YOU DO! In increased health costs, increased premiums etc. [link to off-the-mainstream.com] |

Then they are going to realize that their taxes are going way up in January and that medicare is getting robbed and many hospitals cannot afford and will not accept new medicare patients. These are just a few things that the libtards voted for. We'll they got them and they have no one else to blame except themselves. Most of the libtards have no clue what they voted for, they are in for a very rude awakening. |
| Triskele User ID: 4093730 11/08/2012 12:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My husband already gets $$$ taken out of his check every week for our health insurance, then when I go to the doc it is another $20 ($40 for specialist) out of pocket, then a few weeks later we get another $$$ bill for that visit in the mail. Enrollment is up and our plan has just went up in $$$ and dropped in quality. I hate to think what is coming next. My husband is a hard worker, we have worked hard to be debt free, own our home free and clear, I stay at home and homeschool our two children and now everything we have worked hard for we will lose and not just because of Obamacare.... |

I usually ask for the brand name version even though there is a generic as they cost hundreds of dollars more thus driving up health care even further. Plus they look cooler most of the time. Look at brand name Klonopin it's beautiful like candy! |
