The way the gov't measures growth, bad things are good.
Hurricanes, divorces, fires, cancer, terrorism, fraud, crime, floods, earthquakes, epidemics, and war are all good because they cause people to borrow money for replacing their lost goods....which is great for the way the gov't measures the economy.
United and American Airlines and the owner of the twin towers made hugh profits off of 911. Case in point.
