Serious question: How do I get on welfare, Social Security and Disability?

Step one is to be dirt poor.

Getting on disability is hard. Sounds like you can still work so I don't see that happening.

Getting on welfare is based on your income and family size. If you are a single adult, you will be disappointed.

Getting on Social Security will happen when you reach age if you have paid into the system.

I don't know. Never been on any of that stuff. But I think you have to have nothing. If you have a retirement fund, or other investments, you better pull out all the money and use it all up first. When you've hit the bottom of the barrel, then you can probably apply. But do you really want to live that way?

I make 50K a year, can barely afford to pay my mortgage, put food on the table and pay my utilities, and gas to get back and forth to work, have not been on a vacation in 7 years, and cant afford dental work on a few teeth thanks to gingivitis.

Serious answers please.

You first ask your doctor, they have to recommend you for it. Took my mom more than 4 years and she has neuropathy and COPD. Its not an easy process. She only gets disability and SSI though, she does not qualify for food stamps or any other type of welfare. She became disabled after the age of 54 and she had worked since she was 17. She gets practically nothing for benefits. Its not as easy as people think, you have to be doctor certified then they will probably deny you 2 or 3 times like they did my mom. She ended up getting a lawyer and that fight took over a year before they finally approved it.

She is visibly disabled too, she can't walk 5 feet without needing to rest because of the neuropathy pain and COPD. In addition she has to sit 5 minutes for every 10 minutes she stands or her legs and feet will swell so drastically it looks like her skin is about to burst open. None of that mattered though...still took her 4 years to get it approved.

Sounds like you are part of the 47% who refuses to take responsibility for themselves.

Hey OP, hide all cash and assets. You can apply for SSDI, it takes about 6 monts to start receiving benefits (check, full medical, food stamps) if it's MENTAL HEALTH issues.... You go to the top of the list. A lot of red tape bureaucracy is involved, but you will get it.

Start seeing a Shrink and get on anti-anxiety meds, you must be unable to function in society. Once you get your benefits HELL must freeze over in order to lose them.

If you can live with youself, then go for it. BTW, have the shrink DOCUMENT everything as you will need the Shrink to recommend that course of action.

You can go to SocialSecurity.gov or something like that on line and find the answers to some questions.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing but there is just me left at home.

I'm going to see how much free stuff I can get and try not to work any more so I don't have to pay taxes to provide others with things I don't have myself.

get a new job working fast food for a month or so, have some fun at work and live off your saved money

do something stupid to get fired from Mcdonalds on purpose
begin collecting your 40% mcdonalds wage at the unemployment line
go apply for wellfare because you WILL then be at that lower level

if you dont have a kid, get pregnant or get a chock pregnant(not sure if you are male or female)
go apply for "WIC" BOOM instant wellfare within 2 weeks providing food for mothers health
then after you have WIC, you can go back and get foodstamps at that office

you could also scam the system by increasing your household capacity beyond 7 people total. All you need to do is allow a friend or a couple families that need help to live with you
prove it to the Wellfare office and you are in provided for every 3 people you not make above $27k

If you were female, I'd say have your mentally unstable, drugged up husband push you down the stairs when you're 5 months pregnant. That did it for me. Well, it took 20 years of suffering before I caved and asked for help. I don't like being dependent. It SUCKS!

Start with having a desease like diabetes and take insulin shots twice a day for fortyn years and poke your damn fingertips 2-3 times a day. Oh, and have your blood-sugar spike maybe once every couple years and spend time in the hospital. Also have your blood-sugar go so low you pass out trying to be a teenager wanting to play sports! Yeah that is fun. Then find out they really didnt know better that 200 blood-sugar was bad and now they say 80-90 is what you need to shoot for.

Oh wait, did I mention that you will more then likely lose some if not all of your eyesight due to the desease? And the only way to save it was thru laser sergury and some open eye serguries to remove scar tissue? Yeah, more fun.

And then maybe lose some toes or a foot or even an entire leg due to some little sore that got out of control and became gangrenious?

How about realizing you are in kidney failure at the age of 47 and need a transplant to live onward?

SURE, no problem just a transplant that lasts about 5-8 years and all the other special deals with it like Dialysis, more surgeries for access to clean your blood, but wait you dont have to go through any of it you can decide to end it all at any time. SWEET! Right?

to get unto disability,a doctor has to verify you have a medical condition that prevents you from working 40 hours a week...this health condition must be one which will last you the rest of your life...then you qualify for disability...to get on disability faster,have your doctor apply for you...dont get a lawyer or you will have to wait 2 years...when your doctor gets you onto disability faster,you will still have to wait 1 year to receive your insurance benefits but you will receive your monthly checks upon receiving your disability...

The reason I know this is because my cousin had legitimate severe social anxiety issues, he was totally unfunctionable, there was no there option for him.
