Serious question: How do I get on welfare, Social Security and Disability?

99% of you are talking out both sides of your mouths. Disability is very difficult to get and you must have a condition that will last more than 12 months or end in death.

The average wait time for recipients to get benefits is over 2 years with both SS and the V.A.

You will be denied in the beginning unless your nearly unconscious. Many people die while waiting for benefits.

Once people get approved, most average 1k a month. Not a great lifestyle in my humble opinion.

Those of us that worked 20+ years will do much better, but still don't pay the bills.

Getting both SSDI and V.A. will have you making the national median income if you made descent income at your job.

Many people also get reviewed and kicked off benefits.

Our local police chief took retirement, then was 'elected' as city alderman (of course). But here's the thing.. then, he went to work for the local Casey's gas station. Got hired on easily. They have good benefits. Pays about what he made before, I suppose. And I think he still watches for drunk drivers and does part time nark, lol.

I get about 20K to support me and my son. It's pretty fucking hard to get by.

Also note that disability doesn't necessarily have to be directly caused by a work incident. Maybe with your background, you are too proud to admit you do have a disability. If every step you take already hurts, then you might be doing more damage to your body while protecting your ego.

Based on your assets plus a retirment I doubt you will be able to collect much of anything. The best kept secret in public assistance is that if you're a grown adult with no dependents then welfare doesn't exist.

Wish there was a site like this when I was applying for everything. There's actually a lot of steps, and social services tries very hard to deny you. Knowing the steps is really helpful. I hurt myself playing sports, and now I live easy on welfare.

Oh, it's very easy. First go to your local benefits office and get the forms to fill out. While you are at the table in the waiting room, begin a conversation with anyone there. Begin by saying, "I'm a police officer and I'd like to know how to get on welfare and food stamps." Doing that should get you the best advice. Dude, I am blind in one eye... going blind in the other, have diabetes, permanent damaged to my left shoulder and chest from stab wounds that gives me limited use of it... you want to talk about pain? I have a hole in my back from a gunshot that has never healed... arthritis... and I could go on.

I get my ass out of bed every day... and working from Sunday through Friday night... if not more.

First you need some phony Mexican birth certificates and a green card, or even better Haitian birth certificates. You tell them you have 12 kids, don't know who their fathers are and you weigh 600 pounds and can't work cause your knees, feet and back hurt. You get that backed up by a big city doctor who get a kickback from you. Since you can do most anything online these days I don't think they will ever know exactly who you are except you do have to have a valid address.

If you do legitimately apply for Social Security they deny just about everyone the first time. A lot of people have gone broke before getting the first check.

They are supposed to investigate disability claims and some people who fake it get arrested. Businesses that pay disability for workers hire people to go out and film people on disability.

I have seen lots of fakers. I remember a women who claimed special benefits because she couldn't walk and she had legs like a dancer. Someone noticed and she got bounced. I worked at a supermarket and saw a lot of fakers there. I like the people who don't know how to walk with a cane. I find it interesting that a lot of people who can't walk well buy trucks and SUVs that are difficult for normal people to get in and out.

I remember the days of corporate medical departments who would say you could work whatever your condition.

I know someone who up until two years ago, was getting 12 per week for food allowance from food stamps.

Knew another person who had 4 children, plus a wife and him. They got 800.00 per month for food stamps.
