If you are going to be herded into the camps or taken at gunpoint to be "protected" I think something will "kick in."

I will not be taken out and disposed of without a fight. I will do what it takes to die with a little pride. They can shoot me...that will be fine, but I will have a gun in my hand when they do.

Until that day, I will pay my taxes, contribute to the community, volunteer at the school, and donate food to the food bank. I will do no harm.

It would be foolish to poke the sleeping giant...and that goes two ways.

People will turn in the guns to get food.

Our soldiers have been trained to obey orders. If the orders say you will go door to door and take guns from everybody...they will follow orders.

United Nations troops will be here for the event.

It won't be sudden...it will be a systematic process that just does its job.

Like the churches have done for centuries...burn a few at the stake and let the people watch...they will get in line.
If you are hungry you will get in line. If they hold a gun to your child’s head, you will get in line.

As soon as they call a foreign army to come here their fate is sealed. They can only back peddle so much when they mess up, and that would be the one that would enrage people enough to form their own militias. The public doesn't wear a uniform or take orders from a leader, and there are millions of them armed to the teeth. Also, you can call our military what ever you want but I highly doubt that (most of) those enlisted would willingly turn on the people they took an oath to protect. ANY attempt to forcefully disarm the public will end in bloodshed, and the public outnumbers those who would try by a large margin. Remember the whole "make an example out of them" thing works both ways.

Let's just hope those voted in to office remember who they work for and don't ever try.

National guard is composed of your friends and neighbors and they have some nice toys. I would be willing to bet most of them side with their families and tell the feds to stuff it. Most of out military will do the same, they are not going to fire on their family or their friends family.

Sure there will be a few brainwashed young gungho idiots in the military that will shoot whoever they are told to. But they will not last long when their own units kill them to stop them from shooting family.

And once the head gets cut off things will settle down again, there will be people on the inside plotting assassination, and a gun behind every blade of grass and every tree ready to fire and run. Your typical deer rifle is far more powerful than the M16 and will make a very good sniper rifle.
