Fitness culture conspiracy
What better way to keep people preoccupied and too weak to resist than have them chasing unattainable ideals such as bodybuilders and female fitness models?

When people have nothing of worth to do, they excel at nothingness. Just look at Cross-fit culture. These people are destroying their health for no reason at all.

Fitness is beneficial if properly managed, but what we are seeing come out of fitness culture is nothing but incentive to obsession. You are not super man/woman! The human body has a limit to how much punishment it can recover from.

Never before have I heard of so many young people developing thyroid dysfunction induced by over training and once you have it, it can take months if not years to fully recover from.

I am not some fatso preaching from my couch to defend my lifestyle either. I was entrapped in the BS of the fitness industry as much as everyone else doing intense workouts 4-5 times a week. My health suffered, I was always sick and my sex drive declined to such a point that I was no longer interested in sex with ANYONE.

All the human body needs to stay healthy is a 30min walk every day and a diet high in fat and low in sugary carbohydrates.

This is my warning, stop wasting your life and get back to true health. All of your fitness idols are on performance enhancing drugs to support their work loads. Full recovery is not possible at their workloads.

No I disagree with you entirely. For optimum health there are several things you need:
Clean air
Clean water
Rest
Exercise
Variety of foods with plenty of fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, fewer processed and sugary foods.
Sunshine or vitamin D
Optimistic outlook

True, but to be really healthy one must resist the hive mind.

Otherwise you will be subconsciously linked to other chattle, and mentally you will be very ill.

Re: Fitness culture conspiracy
i grew up fat kid that got beat up and didn't lose virginity until i was like 21 and that with some girl I conned on the internet and gave her a pix of me from the couple years i was in shape..

I been on every fucking diet, I have done iron man type workouts, i have exercised as a hobby, i have spent 3-6 hours a day just not to gain it back.

Yes, I have lost over 150 lbs twice in my life.

Low carb is the way to go. Eat all the veggies you want. Eat lbs of salad.. You'll know what carbs are bad cause you'll feel hung over the next day thats how bad this shit of sugar and grains is for you after 9+ months w/o it

find a workout you like and do that. do it good. push yourself when you want... relax and enjoy it when your not hyped up.

Non-contact sports are the best, like beach vollyball.

if your into muscle's i suggest a military style workout off push-ups, abs, chin ups and the like... you build usefull muscle and most importantly work out your heart.

run/walk enough to be conditioned if someone or group of blacks are trying to kill u for you iphone

Re: Fitness culture conspiracy
There is some truth to the whole P90X, CrossFit, Insanity craze going on - it is unsustainable long term. I've been an avid fitness buff all my life, practiced martial arts for years, high school athlete on various teams, bodybuilding since age 15 - but now approaching middle age and still working out, I see the beating I have put myself through and think if I'd taken things easier probably I'd have a little better health -

I have friends and family who are hardcore fitness buffs still and I use to be way ahead of them - now I just take it easy, work out when I can, and don't push things to the limit as I once did - body can no longer handle it. It will happen eventually to all of them....somehow as with everything we take things to extremes and once that balance is lost, well it becomes as you said.
