I remember alcohol being a "take it or leave it" thing.

Curse these laws that have dictated what I can and cannot do. They poisoned me. I am halfway to believing it is by design to make me less than what I could be.

I HATE booze. But I need it. Without it I grind my teeth and sleep only 2 hours a night to wake tired and wanting. I hate this need for booze. WTF, Nobody talks about this stuff when talking about the dangers of booze. But there it is. Everyone dealing with it knows what I'm talking about.

The grinding teeth, sleepless nights, constant cravings, the sense of willingly wanting to poison yourself with more, and MORE, AND MORE!!!. For what? To wake up unsatisfied and wanting more yet? What a lousy drug. But that is the truth of it.

Sure, most poeple will say, "I drink to change who I am..." Bullshit....You drink cause you can't help yourself. You are a loser, winner, rockstar, whether you drink or not. And that is the BIG lie. You/all of us, drink because we need to drink. Otherwise, we don't sleep well. We shake and tremble in public. We forget what we are doing. We forget stupid crap. We are ADDICTS.

But a little smoke goes a long way to curb the need to drink.BUT THAT IS ILLEGALE!!!! IT IS WRONG!!!!

booze is a horrible poison you are putting into your body on a daily basis. Please give weed a try! I think it might help you with your alcohol addiction.

Medicating myself? I dare say "Yes". But that is the point. I want to stop medicating myself with alchohol. And eventualy stop the Nicotine addiction too.

If you haven't experienced quiting this stuff once you have a definite addiction, then you don't understand what it is like.

It's to late for me to continue the discussion. I have to go to sleep and do real living tomorrow.

I need to sleep and wake to the real world in the morning. I have expectations, work, and real life things that need done. And I will do these things. Wanting to stop drinking does not mean that I am a helpless basket case. I am functional. I just know that I could be MORE functional without the handicap of needing alcohol every evening.

Also, start a journal, essentially talking with yourself about how you feel about alcohol. Why you want it, why you hate it. How you justify giving it to it.... You may be surprised how you 'hear' yourself talk about it, and maybe help yourself to find strength to stop.
