Thats the wrong way to go. You could privatize a lot of stuff, but giving it into foreign hands is the wrong way to go. Then money that is created within Greece by greeks is just transferred outside the country.

Those greek politicians could use the crisis to do something good, but all they do is sell out the future of Greece!

We don't want to privatize anything man, especially not in these prices that the current traitors are selling which is usually 1/10 or 1/15 of the true value and is a daylight robbery. All these things have been paid by our taxes and our fathers taxes all these years, they belong to the people of Greece.

There is a plan for everything to be privatized at some point, ports, airports, all public companies, the water, the lottery etc. Lots of these companies are profitable by the way, complete sellout. The link has only the 2013-16 period privatizations.

TAIPED means Fund for the Development of Private Property of the State. They are selling everything and some of the selling prices are scandalous to say the least, especially for the profitable companies. Vultures throwing a party.

I agree. I view privatization as a bad idea to raise money. In Germany they sold alot of stuff(for example water utiliy works), and then leased it back from the private companies, so they simply make a short term profit, but in the long term it costs way more for the tax payers, because the city or state as to constantly pay for the leasing rates.

And often times it is american companies that now get money so that german cities simply get their water. Its outrageous.

Bankrupt or not there is clearly a financial imperialism in place here mate. Lots of these things don't need to be sold, yes you can sell problematic companies but you can't sell healthy profitable companies at 1/10 of their real value. A dirty game is being played out, but i understand that this happens when the banksters have you in a corner.
