You are right DoorBert: Obama will never face re-election again. But he's not "home free" entirely. Presidents have been in the past (and no doubt will be in the future) called to face a bill of impeachment. So while he's free from the threat of rejection by voters, having already won his 2nd term as President - he is not free to do as he pleases in the highest office in the land.

While we have a democratically controlled senate, the House of Representatives is firmly in Republican hands. Depending on the degree of outrageousness of a given act - Obama could well be called to answer a bill of impeachment. After all, Bill Clinton was impeached over nothing more than lying about screwing an intern (Monica Lewinsky). Remember? Millions were spend producing Ken Starr's lurid little report that seems to be the first and only time the US GOVERNMENT paid millions to produce a literary work that bordered on pornographic.

So the moral of the story is that it doesn't take all that much to get a president impeached. Lying about who one is screwing is a pretty ordinary reflex for most men who are having a sexual relationship outside of their marriages. And yet Clinton was tried and acquitted and not impeached in the end. But he did have to face the humiliation and the entire trial.

So although the voters have had their say about Mr. Obama for the final time, the truth is that he can still be disciplined and/or even removed from office if the transgression is great enough to warrant such an action. What does it take? Obviously from Clinton's experience - not much if the mood is right.
