I'm also of Mi'kmaq decent on my mothers side from Quebec! And everything points toward Sephardic (Basque) on my fathers side!! My earliest an ancestor( Banlier) arrived from Poitier France in 1664! I could never find his parents names(Collineau Montaguerre)? Hello to my cousins from Amerindian ancestry out of Mi'kmaq'ki!
