Too many people have the Marshall sound, get something good but different.

Go Vox or Orange and try get valves/tubes. However if you can find a Gallien Krueger guitar amp from the 1980's or a Roland JC120 buy one of those.

My opinion is get anything based on traditional circuits not modern digital repos by those makes.

These are my conclusions after playing guitar/bass/keyboards for years.

There will always be players much better, much faster and more technically orientated than you, im not saying give up learning technical ability, but it took me a long time to realize what actually matters most is FUN and making UNIQUE sounds.

Its nice to imitate your favorite musicians to do covers and stuff, but what mattered to me when i started writing my own shit was making interesting sounds.

Dont get caught in the effects trap either, you dont really need more than 6 pedals.

Start tuning that shit in weird ways, start using a slide with effects, start playing weird rhythms, start playing an amp that makes a tone nobody has heard a million times.

It will make you happier and not get you caught in the musicians trap of being crushed by to much gear you dont need.
