Why would you use a guitar amp to run an MP3 player? And it wouldn't be in stereo.

Get a cheap receiver from Radio Shack for $100 bucks (or even less) and a couple of small speakers.

Can throw it in the boot of a car and not worry.

Vox do some cheapo solid state practice amps from 5 watts to about 30 watts that can even be run on 6 batteries.

You could get two of them and a Y cable and have your output in true stereo, but also be battery powered if you need it.
