That feature is/was dependent on graphics card/drivers and OS.
You could just manually rotate the portrait orientation feature with the ctrl-alt-(arrow key).
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10097155 yes it needed more that intel graphics in an office type dumb terminal but NO it wasn't just ctl-alt thing it 3-dimensionally showed these "planes" a sort of a side view/ water fall like the vista desktop feature that they advertised that is fully useless come on people , someone must know what I'm talking about...
