Quake Trends? Pacific ring of fire.
Since the Japan quake there were a lot of people paying attention to the earthquakes near Japan, and there were a lot of quakes there. In the past few weeks to a month it seems that the quakes have moved across the pacific. With the 7.7 in BC then the 7.4 in Guatemala, and another 6.3 off of the BC coast.

Also there used to be more large quakes frequently in the Alaska area. Now that area has also quieted down.

Any thoughts. Is the west coast really due for a large quake?

I am not sure if this is a cyclical event as the earth tilts for the changing seasons.
I don't remember such frequent large earthquakes in the northwest area.

Re: Quake Trends? Pacific ring of fire.
Medium size after shocks still hitting the BC coast and the Guatemala region. Not uncommen after a siable quake.
Also there was a 5.2 in Japan but the amount of earthquakes in that area is still down.
