I reallly hate christmas and always have. I also wish that I could tell people the truth w/o hurting their feelings.

i Hate getting cookies, candies, socks, scarves, purses,almost anything to eat. I make enough sweets over the Holidays and the last thing I want is a box of cheap chocolates or candy canes!! I get home Christmas Eve and right in the trash they go!

I still have scarves and mittens that have never been worn. How many can I use?? And quite frankly, they are usually quite hideous. I mean, I buy my own to match my coat and to my liking and they pull out these colors that match nothing I own. Sure, it's the thought that counts but I want them to save their money because I just throw it away!

I got a purse from my mom last year that has never been used. I got another one from my mil that i re-gifted to her for her b-day. It was hideous!!

My mil is the worst cause she gives little cheap gifts just to make it look like she gave more. I don't get it.

If I am at a loss, I give a gift card. How can that be wrong?

I gave Christmas up after discovering it's Pagan roots. All the other "Holy" days too.

I laugh when O and his cohorts threaten a war on Christmas.

Good to see I am not alone in this.
I am not buying a single present for Christmas, not because I am mean, but because I am sick of this whole thing. Christmas is not about some big fat red suited Santa (Satan) man, it is about Christ.
The system has robbed me blind, I will not pay into it any more, I will have a Christmas dinner with my family, and that is it.

People's Christmas Trees should have many presents underneath them containing storable food, precious metals, guns & ammo, and other necessary items.

You guys are acting like sore losers and immature little kids. How about you grow up?

Nah.. it's about time people like you did some growing up, doing with out and getting something on your own..
Black Friday should be RED Friday this year..

In an instant gratification socieity we want everything to happen fast. It just doesn't work that way. How many of you have run up your credit cards to only have to spend YEARS paying them off if at all. Lots declare bankrupt.

Bush started this mess and the well was very deep when Obama got the job.

The rest of the World knew that this was not going to be a quick fix and would get worse before it got better. 4 years is nothing. 4 more years maybe but I doubt it.

How do you fix somthing when the World around you is also tanking. Not going to happen any time soon.

Better start to think about things getting worse before they get better. Better start to think about where that hard earned money is being spent. better start to buckle down and cut expenses and stick to the basics.

The best advice for everybody is to start spending any extra money you have not on entertainment but on food. Dried goods with a shelf life. Get stocked up quite a bit around your home. If inflation hits which it will sooner than you think you will be protecting your money because things are going to cost way way more coming up. Quit feeling so hard done by cause your not yet. Protect yourselfs now cause its going to get worse alot worse before it gets better.

Its one thing to be broke and another to be broke and hungry. Beware and take care.

Sorry man, the economy is bad enough. I'm not going to do anything to make it worse, I'll do what I can to turn it around.

Just adding, using money I have without borrowing.

Never said I wasn't celebrating Christmas.
This is about spending extra money that's not there to spend..
Still having a Christmas.
Just not thousands or even hundreds of dollars being spent..
We don't have it to spend..How does government play into it?
Santa Claus gonna take up my slack?

Nope only empowers the beast.

My x-mas budget is about five bucks. I think I'll hold on to it.
