He did the right thing.
He should fire the rest.

Hell, I think anyone that makes less then 100k a year, should all pick a day to be sick, the same day, and let's see what "I built this all by myself" bunch does then. How much revenue do you think they could make all by themselves. I needed some part time workers for a large shipment coming into one of our warehouses a month back I put an ad in craigslist, offering $10/hr I had 100 messages and emails within an hour I don't think he'd have any trouble replacing the cranky workers so try holding someone else up
