The deficit, however, grew from 240 billion in 2003 to nearly 400 billion in 2007, one year after the communist party took control of the US House. Revenue went up 400 billion and s spending went up 800 billion. During this same period, the defense budget was cut 100 billion, including the budget for overseas expeditionary forces. Why? Because of non-discretionary spending that Congress is too chicken-shit to do anything about. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18308331 In 2006 (two tax years after their enactment) the revenue to the federal treasury was 1.1 Trillion dollars, an increase in nearly 400 billion dollars. Well said my friend. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27320571 I just voted a straight-Democratic ticket as usual and I'm thrilled that President Obama won reelection with well over 300 electoral votes, just as I predicted. If you're foolish enough to argue with me I only ask that you keep your comments BRIEF and to the point, since I can't handle a wall of bullshit on my cellphone. Most people are retarded, lazy, and evil. You are one of them. No argument. |

Quoting: Lady Jane Smith Please show all your work, provide supporting documentation, and I will reiterate -- DETAILS are required. The humongous Bush/Republican deficits have been dropping under Obama, just as the enormous Reagan/Republican deficits dropped under President Clinton. CBO projects that they will quickly drop to around $200 billion per year and thank god there will be no President Romney to falsely take credit for that. 2013 will be under a trillion. The irresponsible Bush tax cuts should be allowed to expire and I hope Obama keeps his word and pushes for it. The budget-busting Reagan tax cuts should also be rolled back. The lying GOP and the Democrats agreed on sequestration so I don't see why it should be prevented if you truly value deficit reduction. CUT the military! Rmoney wanted trillions more given to the Pentagon than even they thought was necessary! No, I will not hold your hand and provide all the links that you demand. Look up the truth yourself based on what I've told you. |

Quoting: Marax When obamacare takes effect and businesses start to only employ part time employees because they dont want to pay for healthcare that will make a lot of jobs. If you want 40 or more hours a week you are going to need 2 jobs. Only businesses with over 50 employees are required to offer health insurance. If you work a shitty job with a cheapskate republican boss than there will be no change. Hopefully, Obamacare will evolve into universal healthcare like every other civilized, developed country. |
