Your A point is pointless. The man could've been smaller than me and could've raped me. I would have felt violated nevertheless and would have required a great deal of getting over the mental pain and anguish. But I would have not lost anything financial.

You have a legal recourse to address both. If the courts liquidate the assets of the swindler and you get your money back, you are happy again and back to normal.
