If you feel around there you'll find a slightly boney protrusion that everyone has there, right next to your eyeball. Push on this spot even through any discomfort, keep the pressure on for 15 minutes at a time. This will temporarily relieve the intense pain associated with migraine. As far as a cure, I have found none, and I've tried Everything! The best thing I've found is high dose caffeine regime daily, the caffeine counteracts the restriction of blood vessels within the head, and although it feels like your head is going to explode and you want to die during a migraine, the opposite is true, a constriction of blood in the brain is what causes the intense pain. Large amounts of caffeine can counteract this. But I must warn you, if you skip a day you'll crash, and not just a caffeine crash, but a caffeine crash + massive migraine. Goodluck, because as I said I just about want to literally die when I am suffering a bad migraine. I doubt cutting off my own leg would be as painful as a migraine. The worst part about a migraine is that it's already in your head, the pain isn't traveling along nerves in your body, it's already right there in your brain. And migraine pain changes from second to second, as if morphing to hurt you no matter what. Only deep intense meditation can counter this type of pain, and because it changes to quickly only a master of meditation can adjust as quickly as the pain does. |

Pharm drugs not really working. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3558872 If sig other is female, it is a hormonal imbalance. Do the migraines occur at the end of her monthly? Hysterectomy cured me. If sig other is male, disregard my post. Who is John Galt? |

I concur, once you get used to the caffeine, the day you don't drink coffee you'll get a torpedo migraine. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27244505 United States 11/08/2012 06:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | take 1 aspirin Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23733449 1 ibuprofen 1 acetaminophen 1 full cup of coffee or 1 pepsi and a hershey bar what you just listed besides the hershey bar is what is in excedrin. so just take 2 excedrine. i have had migraines for years. a couple years ago i found out about ginger and have only had one migraine in 2 years and i used to get at least 1 a month. so get a ginger root in the produce department and then peel it and cut it into chunks about the size of a dice and eat a couple of those chunks. then if symptoms come back eat a couple more. it also alleviates the nausea that often accompanies migraines, and it stops the throbbing. so 2 excedrin plus eat some ginger. |

Haven't had one migraine since the first week of taking Petadolex, going on 8 months or so after having nearly a migraine everyday. I tried so many therapies and I was losing my will to live on in this way. I hope it works for you. Best price I found was at Amazon. Quoting: Starlighttraveller Whats in it? Thanks! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 25686369 United States 11/08/2012 06:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | not sure if this will work for you, my mother used to get very bad headaches she also used to drink alot of pepsi/coke she would consume many asprin on a daily basis wich also include caffiene. so some of her headaches may have just been caffeine withdrawl. my point, dunno if you drink alot of caffiene? i dont but it maybe genetic in me because she had it? anyway in my teens i worked out alot (exercise) and as i aged i noticed that if i did simple exercise as pushups a few times a week it greatly reduced the amount of headaches i would get. dunno your phsycal shape but if your not already trying exercise it may help or if could be withdrawls from certain foods you are eating.goodluck. |

If sig other is male, disregard my post. If OP is female and near menopause then she might just need extra estrogen. There are herbal formulas that can help and some get relief by drinking soy milk which as phytoestrogens in it. earthclinic.com is a good place to start for remedies for just about anything. here is a link for migrane cures from earth clinic. Excedrin for migraines is off the market, so I googled its ingredients and came up with that. Extra strength Excedrin does not work for me but the one specifically for migraines. I combined all the ingredients and boom, it worked. |
