6.7 million FEWER whites voted in 2012 than in 2008. That is, whites only made up 72% of the votes cast in this election, compared to 78% in 2008.

This despite the "enthusiasm gap" which all pundits noted, even liberals. This despite the fact that white population did in fact grow in the four years from 2008 to 2012. Maybe not as fast as minorities, but it grew.

And OH YEAH, this despite the fact that Gallup's "likely voter" estimates PUBLISHED OCTOBER 26, 2012 predicted a 78% white turnout, identical to 2008.

BETWEEN OCTOBER 26 AND NOVEMBER 7, 2012, 6.7 MILLION WHITE "LIKELY VOTERS" SIMPLY DISAPPEARED.

Here is a breakdown of where your missing votes came from. Just so you know, whites only made up 74% of the 2008 vote, and we tried to tell you that the Gallup model was flawed.

Dick Morris told us this is the first time in history an incumbent president's margin shrunk over the challenger and he still won the presidency.

Obama led by 7 points in 2008 and 1 point in 2012. First time in the history of elections for president this happened and the incumbent didn't lose.

For an incumbent's margins to shrink that much, he is not well liked. That has always in the past meant defeat.

But real clear politics has overplayed its hand, I think. How could they possibly know what percentage of whites, blacks, hispanics, and asians voted and for whom they voted? Where did they get that information? Nobody asked my race when I voted. And, my vote is private.

I guess when you are writing the story, you can write the ending as well.

On October 26, 2012 (2 weeks before the election), Gallup estimated "likely voter" turnout to be 78% white. Final turnout was 72% white. Difference = 7 million voters.

You think it's normal for 7 million likely voters to suddenly decide it's not worth voting?

No I didn't say the entire white vote would be for Romney. It's BLACK people who vote nearly 100% by race.

The white vote split 60-40 Romney-Obama, which if multiplied by 7 million missing votes would have added a couple of million to Romney's total.

The question, now, is "In what states was this precipitous drop concentrated?"
