Did you ever write a book?

I came in third in a short story contest. The guy who came in first wrote a story about a guy who found some weed and smoked it on Christmas. Go figure.

Yes, I am currently writing one.

Textbook stuff. But also short motivational and educational articles.

I'm on page 160 without the index/appendix/etc. It's going slow. I think I get 10 pages done a week and then forget.

I have a half a book. Part of it written down and part in my head that I cannot seem to do. It really pisses me off.

Sometimes I think the index is more interesting than the book.
I wonder if anyone has ever written a book that was nothing but index...

32 of them, 30 of which were published, 3 of which were best-sellers, all of which are still in print.

Well it was a photo-essay with a narrative accompanying
the opening of the six chapters. Photos of bathroom graffiti
from around the country and a few from Canada. Also a few submissions. A great experience.

I would love to, Sadly i can't keep focus long enough to really get into. Then i end up thinking what i wrote was stupid lol.

Two reference books on the War Between the States, two more in progress and have edited five.

I have begun many books - just none finished. I come up with great ideas. I am talented, anyone that reads what I write has said I have great potential. I just get about a third of the way done and the story just dies, somehow. When Harry Potter came out it killed a part of me, as I was dreaming of writing a truly wonderful fantasy series for young adults, and after HP it is kind of hard to follow, lol. But I still try. I have the heart and mind of a writer - I spend my entire life narrating things in my head, coming up with great ideas. In fact I have insomnia, and the only way for me to fall asleep is to "write" stories in my mind. Started writing an online fan fic about five years ago - but computer died and i lost a lot of my work and could never pick it back up again. But it lives, out there on the net. Had a few fans even, lol.

No, but I did write a musical and of course a ton of musical scores, songs and other music.

My brother wrote film scripts (still works in Network) and my mother wrote a poetry book and published a bunch of text books on counseling, therapy, nursing and other related material.

Yes, Internet Addiction hand book.

They're about to classify that as a mental disorder.
