Reaganism is the idea that everything should be left to the free market and compete with chinese willing to live in dorm rooms making a dollar an hour.

Before Reaganism, even being a freaking meter reader was a good job.

Currently US operates in various levels under all 3 economic systems, true free markets in it's totality has not existed in the US for some 100 odd years now, what you currently call capitalism is the merger/marriage of corporatacracy and government, operating under a fascistic security apparatus, all controlled by an oligarchy.

Reagan was an economic dirigist in large part. Star wars program was modeled after JFK's shot to the moon and meant to use the power of government to leverage investment in science and technology for the betterment of mankind.
