I wish I could save Tibet... | |

To save the world, the heart must be saved. To save the heart, one must remove the dagger. But if one removes one's dagger... One loses the pain that justifies aggression. One loses the ability to drown the pain of others in one's own pain. One sentences oneself to feeling again, without escape. Who is left, who is willing to make such a terrible sacrifice? And so, how can the world be saved? How can China be saved? How can Tibet be saved? For the love of one's own dagger, In one's own heart, All is lost. For fear of tears, all is lost. For fear of shame, all is lost. For fear of feelings, all is lost. And replaced with lies. |

Tibet is pretty barrend, almost worthless for growing food and even the sheep and goats are hungry for lack of grass, let alone grain. Everybody there was starving in the 1800's and thses Lamas used to collect 500 gallons of milk a day to sacrifice to whatever monkey god they worship while the children starved. All you ever get is the sanitized version of events out of the Dali Lama worshiping media. The real truth of what those scumbags did and still do is uttterly shocking. Buddhism is worse than even Islam. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1130777 Focus instead on saving yourself, your loved ones, and your own community. You obviously lack knowledge about Tibet. Maybe you should study about a subject before talking about it. |

I think you're going to be pretty surprised just how un-romantic that place is. Only in the rarest cases would I ever suggest this, but the people of Tibet probably never had it so good than they have it now under communist rule. |
