And don't even bring up whatever the fucking Iraq war cost, since a huge chunk of it is spent on military vehicles.

So you support the model of manufacturing seeking the cheapest labor market, to sell to credit indebted Americans. Worked for a while, but as good jobs are exported as well Americans it becomes unsustainable. That is the globalist model I am speaking about, a relic already after little more than 30 years.

I dont support of corrupt Union leadership. I support unhindered collective bargaining and organizing in the private market place, with the right to strike and the right to lock out. No govt interference. The auto workers have taken huge cuts across the board, but that's how it goes when the economy is in the pits. And since when did auto Unions support Free Trade? They fought Free Trade vigorously. And abortion? Immigration? That's not even part of their mandate. Stop throwing everything into the pot. When the economy slumped the Auto giants lost their financial backers, that's what happened. I dont know their percentage of non military revenue, but I am sure it was projected to slump, and the number crunchers at the banks pulled out. I dont understand your argument, either you support the domestic auto industry, or you dont. If you support it, then bail it out and restructure it, change management, look for ways to refinance it -- that's exactly what Obama did. I criticize him alot for worthless wars, banksters, executive power grabs, reduced constitutional rights,, but saving the auto industry is not one of them...
