We had it too good in the 80s with VHS and what not.
It was a form of freedom, but it was also just a lack of technology.

The whole idea of a high budget movie is that it makes its money back and makes a profit. It ain't going to do that by being copied millions of times and downloaded freely over the net.

As for the kinect in general, its a piece of gimmiky junk with high lag time and low accuracy i now keep it unplugged.

I always put something in front of the Kinect Cameras when I'm done with it.

It still could record sounds, though...

it does seem like if all of todays laws were followed down to every single point and enforced by super advanced technologies, that it would result in people feeling very enslaved and the privacy taken away from them.
This is not how humans should have to feel in a modern society!

The thing is that the laws just couldn't be enforced like that in the days before such technology. Thats when we felt we had enough freedom.

Therefore if laws are going to be so effectively enforced, this lowering peoples sense of freedom massively, then the laws need to be relaxed accordingly to balance this out.

Thats what needs to happen in the future.

Remember, a free range farm animal produces more, and it produces higher quality than any caged animal.

Give them their sense of freedom and their productivity will shoot up.

Best thing to do here imo is spread this info around like crazy, then await the inevitable rage and see if MS have anything they'd like to say before a million Kinects go sailing into the trash.

Wont happen. You see they release this technology gradually, little by little, peice by peice, and its usually tied up with something that they want, such as entertainment and satisfaction (hence the kinect). And that way people will grudgingly accept it.
