Yep have a friend that has relatives that go out and do some petty crime that gets them locked up every year during the cold months.Gives them a place to sleep and food to eat.They call it going on vacation.

Plant cocaine in a neighbors home doorway then call the police, then squat in their home.

This is a first. I've never heard of them wanting to get the mentally ill and drug addicted homeless help. It's cheaper to just lock them up. I guess someone is thinking outside the box and long term.

I hope my disabled vet friend in a wheelchair with no feet, isn't there.

I knew drug addicted homeless that would go in just for the giant bottle of pills they would leave the hospital with.

It wasn't safe or smart. The hospital would release them so f'ing drugged up that they didn't have enough sense to survive on the street and were often going back in within a day or two for having OD'd on their own meds.

The mental health system is a joke.

Wisconsin has a republican governor that survived a recall, Paul Ryan is from WI, but Obama won in the state. Something doesn't seem right with that.

They have no use for the homeless. Exploited for the election, and then discarded by the entitlement class.

I assist the homeless part time through a faith-based organization. There is a lot we can provide, but we can't assist some of the homeless with mental health and detox/recovery needs as of yet.

I don't think this is a bad idea for some.

I see your point Brief, and in some cases it may be true. However, a blanket solution like this would not work, plus it violates human rights, it would cost tax payers a bundle, etc...

If they were taught how to properly care for themselves it would be worth it...ya know classes on how to save money and basic life skills that should come naturally, but don't for some people...hmmmm do I save this $20 for rent or buy lottery tickets and some candy bars?
