In Canada the miniumum wage is $10.25/hour but we have the same problem. Some people, especially Somalians breed like animals because the more kids they have, the more benefits they get. My mother's mother had 15 children during the depression, and they did'nt have help like now.

Some people only have one child these days, because it's all they can AFFORD. They give it thought before having ONE more, let alone FIVE more, or SIX more.

Those on the government dole, don't give it much thought do they? Other than the fact that they know the exact welfare dollar amount they'll get for each child they bring into this world.

When an accountable person considers having a baby they think about housing, food, clothing, education, medical bills, and on and on. Our new welfare society doesn't give it a thought. Screw away with impunity, your trip to the OBGYN will be paid for, your formula and diapers paid for, etc etc, heck, why stop at two, three, four, five, six....

Actually, OP, if he is really your friend you might warn him that the whole purpose in getting as many on food stamps and the welfare program as possible is so they can cut them off and offer a nice warm meal and a cot at their nearest FEMA camp. He is in danger if he lets himself become so beholden to the system that he is paralyzed without it! They have all of these welfare recipients RIGHT where they want them, ready to take the rfid chip and/or fill their reservation at a death camp!

I have friends that are on food stamps and I warn them to buy cheaply for a few months and use the remaining money to stock up for hard times. Instead they use their EBT cards to buy name brand items and ribeye steaks. They will be the first ones on the FEMA trains/buses because they have less than 2 days supply of food in their house and will be starving as soon as these benefits are cut off!

Americans dont know what poor really is. Im american and thought i had it bad, my job started sending us jobs overseas that last from 3 to 12 months. Most jobs i went out on were in Africa, thats when i really saw the true definition of poor. But the Africans are happy, I never understood why, they have so little and everything is stripped from them by their own governments. In Ukraine, a former soviet country, people are sad. i was only in Kiev so I cant speak for the rest of the country, but everything was old. Roads, metro, trollies, cars, no houses everyone lived in apartments the size of a garage at the price of a 2 story house, everything was old and beat up. The government supplied all hot water, they decide when its warm enough outside to turn the heat off.

Americans think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, they.....we, are blind to the things we should be grateful for. Obama supporters screaming at republicans for the same things they complained about when bush was in office.
