The concept of finding unused WW2 shit is awesome, imagine finding a never used Tiger Tank buried under your yard or something! B17 in the loftspace, German U boat in the neighbors hottub, Halftrack on the compost heap, Zeppelin in the garage! ![]() |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 25605487 11/09/2012 05:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After World War II, the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc states supplied client regimes and guerrilla movements with captured German arms such as the StG 44 along with newly manufactured or repackaged 7.92x33mm ammunition. French forces discovered many in Algeria and determined the origin to be from Czechoslovakia. Examples also found their way into the hands of the Vietcong during the Vietnam War, and the PLO.[28] It is still used in very limited numbers by militia forces in the Middle East[29] as well as some countries in the Horn of Africa. StG 44s have been confiscated from militia groups by U.S. forces in Iraq. [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

A similar thing happened recently but on the other side of the world with two dozen buried WW2 fighter aircraft. "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" Sigmund Freud" CROW |

Probably a few companies but i doubt in large amounts. We are not talking surplus 7.62x54r or something, weird ass 7.92x33. I just loled at one of the comments on this link though.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1421478 Lot of old german weapons in eastern europe? Guys might be onto something then, maybe these were external and brought in over the border. Could probably tell from serial numbers, if they have them. |

These guns are nazi guns from WW2. It is even possible that they are for example czech analogues that were produced by a puppet state of nazi germany in ww2 and have been stored or been on the black market since then and shipped into syria over the border but i think its more likely they were buried. |

"Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" Sigmund Freud" CROW The point I was trying to make is that the F(CIA)SA 1) Seems more focused on creating/maintaing the media-psyop that it is a "liberating force" while they've been documented constantly as slaughtering their own people 2) It's very LIKELY that they discovered them and were so focused on the media-psyop side of things... that they decided to call them AKs+blame Assad before anything else. The Interwebz quickly realized the psy-op fail... hence the call out that the guns 1) aren't Assad's (2) aren't AK47s (3) are German WWII STG-44(s).
