Greek culture basically has to be brought up to speed with that of Northern Europe. This is what this is about. The Greeks are not "productive" enough for the capitalist economy as in self reliant and nuclear, family structure wise. A period of minimal government I suspect is designed to wean them off the family state structure and move them into a modern more flexible society. After all, they are a leisure economy and not sufficiently diverse to extend their contribution within a N Europe dominated EU. So I am sanguine about this. They will emerge from this more leaner and integrated in the EU project.
