If you think Romney personally did this, you are ignorant. It was likely the decision of his campaign managers and he probably didn't even know about it. Those with legit charges can submit them to the campaign. It's a measure to prevent someone from going wild with the credit cards.

Look, you have to understand that a man of Romney's class has a sharp distinction between his own wealthy and high-class elite and the hired help. The staffers fell into the hired help category. he won't be needing them again, so fuck 'em.

So they are all out of work now, and paid for their own taxi home. Remember when Romney said how much he enjoyed firing people?

I ran the spending side of a 8 figure political campaign and we didn't shut off the credit cards UNTIL the end of the week of the election.

The staffers HAD to get home and had other ongoing expenses that they were paying that were of a campaign nature and WE were NOT GOING TO STIFF our hard working staff with that kind of low life action.

I did raise the issue a couple of weeks out from the election at the senior staff meeting and recommended an end of the week cc shut off PLUS paying an additional one week's pay to our staff (we had a slight money cushion and could do that) and not a single person objected. (and I was prepared to go directly to the Candidate if they did)

Our policies were communicated to EVERYONE before election day so they would know what to expect. It is the ONLY fair way to treat people who have been putting their heart and soul (and 100+ hour work weeks) into your effort.

Romney's "Vulture Capitalism Streak" really shows through with this kind of behavior. (the actual decision may have been made by someone else but HE set the tone that allowed that kind of decision to be taken - in my campaigns the candidates were good people who would NOT have supported treating their hard workers like that, and had conveyed that concept many times during the many months I worked with them)

Romney is a psychopath. Any mental health professional could certify this based on his prepared, public statements in formal settings (such as the primary and general debates). No need to get into the personal stuff from his youth (getting a bunch of friends to help bully an effeminate student, wearing a cop uniform and detaining people, etc)

All of his campaign money is essentially laundered into tax free personal use now. He is going to keep every dime of these ill gotten gains. 300 Million is not enough when you allready have to pay an oppressive 13% tax rate.

Yet this is a guy who has spent the majority of his life trying to be the #1 person in government. psychopath.
