But as for the authoritative body bringing up charges up against this man for getting the tattoo, well they should already be grown up (or comprised of grown ups) enough to stop wasting our tax money and time on bullshit cases like this.

If he wanted a specific meaning, he should have went Russian style.

What if he had a sign with the same information on his front yard. Or ran an ad with the same picture. Or sent the picture to the police station.

If he had not used the individual cops information it would have been symbolic. Once he used the name and badge number it became personal.

Around here you get arrested for having gang signs tattooed on you too, like sur 13 and ms 13. I remember when I was in high school (22 now) there were some Hispanic kids that had gang tattoos and our school said cover it up or gtfo.
