No i tried with my Iphone but i couldnt zoom in, I was soo frustrated.
Im hoping somebody from Perth also saw it.. Does anybody know any good UFO Sightings reports websites so I can see if anyone else reported and saw the same thing?

I sure was! I screamed out and shouted for my mum to come outside so I would have someone help explain the details.. We first thought somebody could have somehow tied some flashing lights to a huge helium balloon, but when it shot off like a bullet at the end, we were gobsmaked!

Ah, you see, that's why I always keep my HD camcorder to hand!

Can be a bit awkward when trying to wipe though!

My 12 year old daughter told me earlier tonight that her and her friends saw strange lights in the sky.We live in Kalamunda Perth .

Perth has also had some very weird cloud formations recently and reports of very fast moving objects in the sky ..

Very cool! About what time was this locally there in Perth? What were you doing at the time? Just sort of star gazing? Interesting that another poster's daughter saw strange lights in the sky above Perth, too. I wonder if Pine Gap (the joint U.S.-Australia military/intelligence station near Alice Springs in central Australia) knows about it, or saw it on their tracking instruments. Let us know if you find out any more about this. Interesting. 5*s.

Perth and Western Australia in general are #1 on my list of next place to visit. Sun, beaches, deserts, gold mines, open expanses, big sky, unique flora and fauna. Similar, in many ways, to the American Southwest; especially from the past. Fremantle, Albany, 20+ foot White Pointers plying the beautiful coastal waters. Dolphins, whale sharks, the Swan River, wine country, the Kimberly, Nullarbor Plain, the Indian Pacific train from Perth to Melbourne. Save me a spot. I'll be visiting soon!

No I was out the front of my house having a smoke and it caught my eye, at first I thought a plane but about 3 seconds later it zoomed a short space in the opposite direction it was travelling! Thats when I shouted to my mum to come outside FAST! "Quick mum, bring my IPhone!! HURRY UP!" I screamed. I tried recording it but I couldnt freaking zoom in with the shitty app Ive got and it was too far to catch it with no zoom..

I just read that post about the mans daughter seeing something similar tonight as well, I hope there are more reports of the same sightings tomorrow.

Was around 8pm she was coming back from skating with her friends.The U.S and Australian military sometimes play war games off the coast checked and nothing taking place atm....but who know's?Hopefully someone got a pic or video and will post later today....it's 2am here.

A bit more special than you might think.Not sure how to insert links but hopefully you can copy and paste and check out Perth's links with Atlantis and The Lost City of Astereoth.The hills area of Perth where I live is a very unique place and has recently (last 2 years)been attracting all sorts of religious groups setting up their churches etc Budhists Hari Krishnas etc It's such a small area of Perth it makes you wonder why the obsession with this place?

I often look up into the Perth skies at night (SOR here). I haven't seen anything unusual but have often taken a pic of the clouds. I always have my camcorder, fully charged and ready to capture anything.

3k's south of Freo this way.
A few years back I think i saw one of them cigar shaped ufo's between my residence and the hills that are over from the old power station.
It was brownish in color wasn't very big and moving slowly going north it was just below the top of the hills.
Wonder if the OP's sighting was polair?

I do that, too, when the formations are unique or aesthetically pleasing.

Sounds like there are quite a few sightings around Perth. Interesting.

Just out of curiosity, are there air force bases around Perth? Or secret installations? Not saying that's what people are seeing, but it's something to consider.
