Call 1-800-0bama... Most you people voted for him.. Or that Crispy Creme looking Christi man..

Yes, they did vote for Obama and are his stronghold. It's hard to have sympathy when people do that. THe kids are suffering for what their parents did, too.

I don't think Obama is capable of managing anything. It's going to be up to the state governors.
One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

That is all.

Of course you're going to find people that are unhappy sleeping on a fucking cot.

But all schools in NYC have heaters and they were turned on September 15th.

If they're cold its because they are near a fucking door and people are going in and out to smoke.

Give them a break. Even if they weren't prepared at least now they are breaking their silence on how Gov is working for them. We all have a learning curve. It's not their fault the school system has brought them up to beleive in the goodness of government.

Now they know. Better late than never. Even with my skeptisism I'm still shocked at how little the gov. cares for us. But I am always, ever hopeful.

Disgusting.

DHS gets close to 40 Billion a year - yet we STILL can't cover a relatively isolated disaster (country-wise). I wonder where all that money is going.

Now this I can agree with! As much as we are spending on DHS to keep us safe from terrorists, we can't figure out a way to provide shelter for those who have lost their homes?

Hint ... DHS has NOTHING to do with Disasters or Disaster recovery. DHS is strictly a police and quasi police agency ... NOT a Disaster Reponse Agency.

DHS now runs the TSA, FBI, various "internal" search and checkpoint operations (been stopped by DHS speedboats more than once), etc..

If this had happened under a GOP president, the media would be all over it, as they were with Bush and Katrina

Now it's going on over 10 days, and millions of people still have no utilities, no heat, no help...

Remember that song that went viral: George Bush don't like black people?

Someone needs to write something in reverse...look at the video below, listen to the lyrics and then think about what is going on in the Rockaways, Staten Island and the Jersey shore....

they were complaining about 5 days, in NY it's going on 10

Obama sure doesn't seem to like white people...and these are farkin democrats who put him back into office

Do you most welfare states [states that get more $ from the federal government than give in tax revenue] are 'poor' and red states? Do you know which states have the highest number of people on Medicaid? Which states have the un-healthiest people?

Texas is one of the red states which gives out far more than it gets back from the government, along with Colorado, Florida and Nevada.

Look it up...from a liberal site:

And that was last year, this year Texas will have an even bigger surplus and send more money to DC

That's why libtards hate Texas: it destroys all their arguments and shows their terrible government model for the crap it is...

Texas State tax collections soar, setting up chance for record budget surplus

By Kate Alexander

Texas could be heading toward a record state budget surplus just two years after facing a historic deficit.

Texas Comptroller Susan Combs reported Wednesday that total tax collections for the 2012 budget year, which ended Aug. 31, were $3.7 billion higher than had been estimated in December.

That total amounts to 13 percent more than the $40.3 billion in tax revenue that Combs had projected would come in during the first half of the state's two-year budget cycle and was even higher than the estimates lawmakers used to write the 2012-13 budget in May.

Soaring oil and gas production in West Texas and the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas are major drivers of the better-than-expected revenue collections.

The production taxes for oil and natural gas together came in about $1 billion, or 39 percent, higher than projected, and the industry also contributed heavily to strong sales tax collections, which were up 12.6 percent from the previous year.

The franchise tax, which is paid by businesses, also exceeded expectations by more than $500 million.
