FEMA camp test runs. FEMA is bullshit. NY has been screwed. I've read all sorts of stories about this shit. Let me run some down -

*Bloomberg prevents the National Guard from helping out - says the NYPD will handle things just fine.

*Man charged for gas hoarding - he was got money together and went to buy gas for his friends and neighbors! Granted - he did not use legal containers for gas...you have to do what you have to do in times of need. Fuck 'em.

*I heard an unconfirmed story that a woman who had extra food, or bought extra food at the store had put it out on a shelf in her front yard for people to help themselves - she was supposedly ticketed because did not have a license to sell or donate, or whatever.

Watching CNN now (I know...not reliable), but they just mentioned that ~5,000 people are in shelters, there are 70 shelters around the city, and FEMA trailers are FINALLY on their way.
