Of course you're going to find people that are unhappy sleeping on a fucking cot.

But all schools in NYC have heaters and they were turned on September 15th.

If they're cold its because they are near a fucking door and people are going in and out to smoke.

It's about 12 days now since Sandy. I know because I got my power at home back 2 days ago, and I'm told it was out 10 days. Since my home was not flooded and I have a generator, and I was able to buy enough gasoline, I was able to run my house on a generator for 10 days. This gave us heat, water, everything except I smelled of gasoline from maintaining the generator.

If we had been flooded, I don't know what we would have done. I expect we would have survived in heavy clothes, but for 10 days that is quite hard, and not everyone is in strong health as we are.

Having cold weather clothing is one thing. Having enough to survive living in a tent shelter in freezing weather, in the middle of New Jersey and not after any sort of nuclear attack, is not something one should have to plan for.

awww gee, i had to have cable tv with the deluxe nfl package, so no, i couldn't save for a disaster like this, to pay for a hotel room for a few weeks, besides, it's the governments responsibility to care for me, wah, i'm just a lost little sheeple, help me

this is america, so we should be staying in a nice hotel that the government pays for, they can just print the money needed to pay for it, what good is being a citizen of a free country if they don't give you things for free, that's not a free country, so keep america free, give freedom

Conservatives or people who call themselves conservatives lost and will continue to lose because the hardcore obsess about stuff MOST Americans don't obsess over, like:

*Religion, especially evangelical shit and an obsession with the end of the world

*Gay shit. Most evangelicals and self described hardcore conservatives are obsessed with homosexuality, and sexuality in general. Get the fuck over it. Most Americans, especially outside of the south, don't care and have a live and let live attitude.

*You basically run and hide in small towns, rural areas, and so-on, and are afraid of big, bad cities. Well guess what morons? Big urban areas ARE WHERE THE VOTES ARE...IT'S WHERE MOST PEOPLE LIVE. Nice republicans always win Wyoming, Montana, the Dakotas, Idaho, but it doesn't mean jack shit in an election. Stop running away from the world, being pathologically anti-social, waiting for the 'Rapture' and 'End Times'....and LIVE.

The 'Southern Strategy' that 'Conservatives' and Republicans have used successfully since the 70s is now failing; it's like a broken business model. You can not any longer rely only on southern evangelical folks to win an election. Republicans and conservatives need a new business model that must include a wide range of people and regions other than the south. The U.S.A. is a BIG country.

*OUR MILITARY IS TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE....we have too many commitments around the world. And out alliances are often bullshit, with the U.S. servicemen and women doing the heavy lifting. U.S. Armed Forces are now also primarily the muscle for too big to fail multinational corporations. And Israel...WTF is up with this 'Relationship'? It's frankly toxic, IMHO, but say this in the U.S. and you'll be vilified and shot down as being 'Racist' and 'Antisemitic'. But mainstream conservatives in the U.S. especially these retarded evangelical Christians down south are obsessed with Israel and the end of the fucking world. The whole thing is FUBAR.

I'm a real conservative BTW; not a phony like I've witnessed take over the U.S. conservative movement over the past 30 odd years.
