Real estate expert Fabian Calvo says there’s more to the story about rising prices in the housing market than what’s reported by the mainstream media. Calvo charges, “There’s a tremendous amount of manipulation . . . Yes, prices have gone up 3%. I see it, but it’s because the inventory has been suppressed on purpose by big players . . . not foreclosing on properties.” Calvo should know because he runs a company called TheNoteHouse.us. It buys and sells $100 million annually in distressed debt and real estate. Calvo says, “Over 20 million houses, on any given night in America, are completely sitting vacant.”

According to Calvo, the economy is being helped by “shadow stimulus.” It’s coming from millions of underwater homeowners who have stopped making mortgage payments. Calvo says, “Money that would have been otherwise allocated towards a housing payment is going into consumer spending.” The Fed is also propping up housing by suppressing interest rates. Calvo says the fragile real estate market would crash if rates rose just a little, and he adds, “That’s why you’re going to see low interest rates . . . through 2015 or until there’s some kind of dollar or bond crisis.” Join Greg Hunter as he goes One-on-One with Fabian Calvo.

The pillars are crumbling. The $1.4 trillion wasted on two worthless wars of choice in the Middle East, the trillions wasted and liberties sacrificed for the never ending unwinnable War on Terror, the Keynesian spending frenzy that has driven the National Debt from $9 trillion to $16.3 trillion in the last five years, the looting of the American taxpayer by Wall Street and their co-conspirators at the Federal Reserve and in Congress, and the belief that ramping up the debt driven consumption that drives 71% of our GDP is our path to prosperity is absolutely freaking nuts. The pillars will not be abolished willingly. The ruling class depends upon their continued existence and expansion. There is the rub. The math doesn’t work. We’ve reached the point where continued expansion of debt and money printing no longer works. With a national debt to GDP ratio of 102% and a total credit market debt to GDP ratio of 350%, we have passed the Rogoff & Reinhart [54] point of no return. This time is not different. A country cannot run trillion dollar deficits indefinitely and expect to not suffer the consequences. This is why those in power are increasingly resorting to propaganda, data manipulation, and outright lies to convince the masses of their omnipotence and brilliance in managing the fiscal affairs of the state.

Abraham Lincoln once said that he believed in the people and that if you told them the truth and gave them the cold hard facts they would meet any crisis. That may have been true in 1860, but not today. The cold hard facts are available for all to see:

•A $16.3 trillion National Debt
•47 million people on food stamps
•Over $222 trillion [62] of unfunded Federal entitlement liabilities
•Over $5 trillion of unfunded State entitlement liabilities
•True unemployment above 20% [63].
•True inflation above 5% [64].
•A stock market at the same level as 1999, with a 10 year expected annual return of less than 4% – Stocks for the really, really long run. 10 year bond returns of 0% will be a miracle.
•A savings rate of 3.7% and with Bernanke’s ZIRP, no incentive to save. Real hourly earnings continue to fall.
•Baby Boomers within 10 years of retirement have saved an average of only $78,000, and more than a third of them have less than $25,000. More than half of U.S. workers have no retirement plan at all.
•A crumbling, decaying infrastructure, with 150,000 structurally deficient bridges, bursting water mains, and an overstressed electrical grid.
•Horrific government public education producing millions of low functioning morons.
•Rotting social fabric, with 40% of children born out of wedlock (72% of black children) and a 50% divorce rate.
•An energy policy based upon unicorns farting rainbows and press releases about green energy and the miracle of shale fracking, as average gas prices in 2012 and 2011 were the highest in U.S. history.

Central banks are creating the ultimate bubble in money itself, as they fight the downward leg in this Long Wave cycle. This is the biggest debt bubble in history. Each time deflationary forces re-assert themselves, offsetting inflationary forces (monetary stimulus in some form) have to be correspondingly more aggressive to keep systemic failure at bay. The avoidance of a typical deflationary resolution of this Long Wave is incubating a coming wave of inflation. This will not be the conventional “demand pull” inflation understood by most economists. The end game is an inflationary/currency crisis, dislocation across credit and derivative markets, and the transition to a new monetary system , with a new reserve currency replacing the dollar. Strategically, we are far more bullish on equities versus bonds. Tactically, equities face a volatile period - buffeted by alternating cycles of deflationary and re-flationary forces until they overcome bonds as the inflationary endgame unfolds. In that scenario, equity investments should (over time) be aligned with the growing share of real disposable income directed towards essential expenditures, including energy, food/agriculture, personal & household care, mobile telephony and defense (for governments).


The “Inflationary Deflation” paradox refers to the rise in price of almost everything in conventional money and simultaneous fall in terms of gold.

What You Probably Don't Know About The Federal Reserve and Why It's So Dangerous

The Federal Reserve System was designed to ensure that bankers always get paid. Congress blessed this scheme because Congress can be bought, was bought in 1913, again in 1977 when the Fed was given its "dual mandate," and is still being bought and paid for by bankers today.

Essentially, the Fed operates on a socialist model. It's not capitalism because banks would be "allowed" to fail under the rules of capitalism.

But they are protected from failing by virtue of taxpayers being called upon, in one way or another (mostly by future inflation and currency debasement, in other words, less purchasing power) to "socialize" banks' losses.

There is no going backwards. Globally we couldn't endure the hardships that would befall us if a cascade of big banks failed. So don't worry, that won't happen. But you should be worried about the creeping socialism.

So the Chinese get this in spades. The only way for them to become the world’s powerhouse and continue accumulating materials in the resource war is if they have a currency that’s backed up by gold or they have the actual physical gold itself.

Governments everywhere are desperate for cash. The German socialists have blocked a tax deal with Switzerland because they want to know who has accounts there. It is no longer good enough for Switzerland to collect the tax and hand it in bulk form while protecting the names of individuals that was has been their law created back in 1934 when Hitler demanded the same information and was hunting the assets of any German outside the country. Dow Jones for 2013

The support in 2013 will be at 11,900, 11,650, 11,025 and resistance at 13340. For those attending the technical training seminars, here is a glimpse of the three 1985 projection lines that have defined this entire ECM wave of 51.6 years from 1985 into 2032. The 2007 high was slightly over the projection for that quarter which stood at 14000. We can see the 11000-13000 trading range is supported technically as well for 2013.

Eric Holder: Some Banks Are So Large That It Is Difficult For Us To Prosecute Them

GRASSLEY: On the issue of bank prosecution, I'm concerned that we have a mentality of too-big-to-jail in the financial sector of spreading from fraud cases to terrorist financing and money laundering cases -- and I cite HSBC. So I think we're on a slippery slope.


HOLDER: The concern that you have raised is one that I, frankly, share. And I'm not talking about HSBC now. That (inaudible) be appropriate.

But I am concerned that the size of some of these institutions becomes so large that it does become difficult for us to prosecute them when we are hit with indications that if you do prosecute, if you do bring a criminal charge, it will have a negative impact on the national economy, perhaps even the world economy. And I think that is a function of the fact that some of these institutions have become too large

The Allocated Gold Account scandal is fast gaining attention. It will see a climax in the German official account demand for repatriation. Numerous class action lawsuits totaling in the $billions are underway in Switzerland for massive abuse. The plaintiffs in my view are forced to sign non-disclosure agreements in order to proceed. The pillage of private Gold accounts is gaining attention at the lower levels. The abuse of official national Gold accounts like from Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Ghana have come into view. Again, the true Gold price will reflect the true gold inventory. Libya was liberated last year (of its 144 tons in London, that is) to compensate for London bank shortages in gold.
