Do elections have consequences? If you have been paying attention to the financial markets, you might think so. Wall Street has had two horrible days since President Obama won a second term.

However, stock prices are not the only thing taking a hit. It appears that the job market is also suffering. In the last 48 hours, the following major corporations have announced layoffs in America (links take you to news stories about the layoffs – with details from the companies):

• Energizer -

The St. Louis-based company said Thursday that it expects to shed about 1,500 employees. When finished, the restructuring should lead to $200 million in pretax yearly savings, Energizer said. It aims to have most of its restructuring steps finished by the end of September 2014.

• Westinghouse -

Westinghouse Anniston, the contractor responsible for shutting down Anniston’s chemical weapons incinerator, has reduced its workforce by another 50 employees.

I dunno, how many announced closings before he won? Were you keeping track?

How many layoffs did Romney oversee when he was in the business of offshoring American jobs to line the pockets of foriegn investors?

You're economy is being destroyed with bi-partisan consensus. They have no control. Politics is irrelevant now.

There are literally hundereds of them... most you'll never hear about because they are smaller companies.

Last Wednesday morning, I was instructed by my boss to submit the names of our five "weakest links"... because, yes we have 54 employees, and yes because our company can't afford this obamacare crap, so I gave him the files of the five biggest-mouthed obama supporters on the floor.

And I hope the morons suffer.
It won't necessarily be the strongest who survive, nor the most intelligent.
It will be the one most capable of adapting to the rapidly changing environment.

Radical Idea:

Is it the JOB of patriotic Americans/Constitutionalists to throw out an economic drag chute (and a sea anchor and a regular anchor and some tire rims and cinder blocks hooks to logging chains and anything else you can think of)?

Think about it. Yeah, socialism will suck things down quite a bit just fine on its own. But any penny of unnecessary economic activity will generate taxes that will further help the socialization of the country.

Leftists will call this "evil and nasty sabotage". What is evil or nasty about doing all one can to oppose something one firmly believes is wrong?

Cinch the belt down tight!

The old "Trickle down" thinking towards the economy by the Republicans is what has led us to this point.

You cant pay a national debt when the wealthy get absurd tax breaks, but refuse to use that money to invest into the economy.
