Farmers would prosper. The nation would have a new crop America's southern states would be great for farming this...no more failing cotton, corn, soybean and tobacco crops. JOBS< JOBS< JOBS PROSPERITY People are going to smoke weed anyway...may as well legalize it. The only downside is for the cartels. Boo-fucking-hoo. People could get off their suicide inducing anti-depressants. People could stop self-medicating with more dangerous toxins. Oil isn't the most valuable commodity...it's marijuana. The perfect natural drug given to us by our creator (whoever you may believe that is). Alas, there is still a lot up uptight people who have been told their whole lives that weed is evil, dangerous, and will make you a deviant within society...but that breed is finally dying off. The only thing keeping me on dangerous anti-depressants and the such is the legal status of marijuana. Let me just smoke some damn weed and maybe I won't have to take a dangerous Pfizer pill. If the major pharmaceutical co.'s are so worried about losing money to this...just develop medicines that utilize THC and they could still make a fortune. |

Its a damn shame but I can get ultra hard drugs much easier than pot at the moment because of the way things are. People are scared to grow pot in PA because of horrid draconian laws that persecute you like you are running a meth lab. We just want to smoke once in awhile, and those of us in severe pain have no quality of life. Pot would at least help us eat better and laugh once in awhile. Life is short, we should be able to try to enjoy it the way we see fit as reasonable adults. |

Then he had them go after them and shut em down That hypocrite wont do anything. |

They'll eventually be forced to reclassify it, but not without a fight. |

I'm willing to see and react over all this new rules in the next six months after we see what the end results are. Will it be readily apparent to the local economy for Coloradans? Will crime rates increase or decrease? Will the Feds look the other way? Give it six months, give it a year.... But something has to work, worst case scenario is that it fails and we allowed government to cause its failure. I can't see it working when the taxes are going to make it more expensive and track everything. Oregon Constitution Article I, Section 27 The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power. |

We buy a 6-pack without being "tracked". The amendment was written with hopes to treat weed like booze. |

Tax free, and no state taxes. The federal government allows alcohol, this weed problem will force the people of the state to rebel if the actually want what they voted for. If you pay for anything with a debit card ( which will be required ) in Colorado for pot purchase, it will be a mandatory rule. There will be no cash sales as they can't track it. You'll see. Time will tell. I disagree with your opinion that you won't be able to buy with cash... the dispensaries take cash. And yes, I know they are already "tracking" you by the fact that you registered to be able to buy medicinal. They only know that you consume though, they don't know anything about amount purchased, etc. |
