Petraeus refused to either a)take the fall for benghazi or other crimes, or b) refused to keep silent any longer on these issues regarding what he knew the administration has done.

He was clearly being blackmailed by the admin and he had a decision to make. Being a man with a shred of moral character left, he decided to make his exit- expect fireworks soon.

THe reason they told the news is bullshit.

He's leaving because of Bengazi.
He refuses to take the blame.

Affair? This is the kind of thing obama (fudge packer) has always used to intimidate to further his own agenda. More than likely obama (puss brains) tried to use it on Petraeus to keep the fingers for pointing at him. The general still has enough backbone left to tell obama (lying fraud) to fork off.
