he resigned because he cheated on his wife of 37 years so he has 1. more time to pursue the relationship or 2. take his wife on vacation or 3. not testify next week?
It is the stupidest excuse ever. People only resign for sex after they are caught and it is all over the news and they are humiliated. This guy told everyone himself! Whats up with that? craaazy

If he knows something, quitting doesn't let him off the hook. Something else is going on. That's what I thought. If he is subpoenaed, it will not matter whether he is director or not. I think Petraeus may have beaten Obama to the punch by outing his affair. Someone is going to be squirming... Don't you think Obama and his cronies would have already thought of that? It is possible that they have other dirt on Petraeus that is still hanging over his head and if let out would result in Petraeus going to jail. Obama is a lot of things... But a stupid idiot isn't one of them.
