FlashMob User ID: 12260220 United States 11/17/2012 04:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i know nothing about the stock market, is there really cannabis related stocks in there??? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27408148 Any big bus. has investment opp. and now that weed is on its way to being legal now is the time to invest in some of these companies. Think about if you invested 100$ into verizon when they first started, or say apple even in the 90s. Today, you would have a GREAT retirement and would never have to work again. Its a good idea to hop on this as Marijuana will be used more than alcohol come 2015. You may fool me once. But twice is unlikely |

I expect a MJ "tracking" stock to be created shortly if there is not one already. I cannot believe OREGON did not approve for recreational use. a lot of people felt the way the law was written if you are a head and in a fender bender you would be at fault. All smokers would test positive (half a nanogram) Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

Several others have dropped 15-17%. I'm not saying they aren't good investments, but do your due diligence before investing. Make sure the stock is worth what is being asked. |

MarkinAZ User ID: 20006444 United States 01/07/2013 12:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Marijuana is going to be legal in most states - one way or another - and probably sooner rather than later. The "war on drugs' has been lost. Most authorities today who are under 50 have smoked pot themselves and believe it to be harmless. First it's legalized for medical reasons/use and then it will move on to mainstream legalization. It will be taxed as heavily as cigarettes except for those who have medical needs. They'll get it without tax or minimal taxes on it. The rest of us will be able to buy a pack of pre-rolled, certified THC content, marijuana cigarettes for a price of somewhere around $6 to $10 each. Raw organic grass will be available too, for a price. And again heavily taxed. Sin is always taxed for one reason or another. Liquor - cigarettes - etc. If you want to play you're going to pay! Welcome to America! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 31695565 United States 01/07/2013 01:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | An investment would be to buy a couple cheap acres of land with a water source and a tractor. Now your talking. Quoting: the solution 1013438 the problem is this is all a rigged game your playing which regulations, which laws, which politicians, who gets to survive, it's all orchestrated. In reality, hemp is one easy ass plant to grow and it'd be a cottage industry easy as cake. It'd be like investing in snowflakes. Have any snowflake penny stocks? catch my drift, it's a game you're playing just gambling, the market makers laugh and are rich with your game, they always win. This guy hits on why it is still illegal....it is easy to grow. Big corps can't corner the market on weed. They would have to compete with your neighbor who likes to garden, the farmer's market, etc. I still believe they could profit on the people who like convenience. That is why states are legalizing it, but the Feds are not. States do not have central banks, so tax sources of any kind that don't piss the constituents of are beloved. The federal government has an easy mandate for taxation and they have a relationship with a central bank that can print more money. The federal government is also bought and paid for by big pharma, big banks (they launder illegal drug money), private prisons, tobacco and alcohol. Weed can have a serious and adverse impact on all of those groups in various ways. Weed would drop prescription drug rates, drop business traffic inflow into the world of illegal drugs (I.e. legalizing weed closes the gate to the gateway). That would lower the amount laundered through big banks. Reduce the population of privatized prisons. Minority pot dealers would become legitimate business owners. Smoking weed once or twice a day would be seen as preferential to many smokers and potential smokers. Many people would choose recreational marijuana over alcohol consumption. Weed is and always has been a dangerous herb to the establishment. That is why they have intentially placed it into the world of destructive drugs. |
