you could be stimulating your vagal (or Vagus) nerve. I know, as I am a severe asthmatic. Certain breathing or coughing causes me to feel dizzy or even faint. Doctors have told me that this is the nerve that I am affecting. hope this helps.

In answer to your question you probably have a hyper sensitivity to alcohol and your taste-buds' reaction is treating it like a poison, causing a kind of gag reflex. This is much the same reaction that children have to high iron foods, like spinach or sprouts. Its probably nothing to be worried about, if its not a problem, its not a problem. If it is, see a doctor.

Stick with Ouzo and Retzina, Zorba, and you'll not have to worry about this problem.
