The hamsa is for the evil eye (Or should I say againt evil eye,jealousy...). She must be fearing everything, that's all, no big deal. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27330681 Thanks fellow canuck... And I did happen to read a little on that symbol, seems harmless. Do you think though, it was just mere coincidence she made the cashier read the expiry date? That's the part I don't get. billybob660 |

Superstition does this. She must double check everything or she is probably mentally ill with some kind of persecution paranoia, thinking somebody is trying to killher (no joke,it's a real disease). She knew the date, she wanted to make sure so she can validate everything. |

Jews and israeli govt officials who study this stuff believe that a cosmic event, the same one that caused Noah's flood, the Exodus catastrophes and subsequent events like the Battle of Ayalon, is cominig back. The last time it came through, it only destroyed Arthur's Britain. December 21, is just a reference point, the window of danger is 250 years. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 13376778 Canada 11/11/2012 01:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I'm at the grocery store today... and the cashier finished ringing through the items, and I start bagging them. As I'm bagging them, the cashier begins scanning this lady's items behind me. I'm almost finished and I heard the lady (she was loud enough, so I was able to hear) ask the cashier what the expiry date was on an item that she bought. The cashier says "December 21st", and the lady said something along the lines of "that's right", or "remeber that". At that point I said to myself, WTF... so I turned around and I noticed that she had flopped her keys on the conveyor belt (I guess you can call it a conveyor?). I looked at her keys and there was this weird symbol, a palm with an eye in the middle (I didn't know what it was, so I came home and googled it, the best search item to show was a 'hamsa'). I'm trying not to make this a big deal, but it was the simple fact that she made the cashier tell her what the expiry date was, and it being the date it was, and the lady remarking to that, as well with that freaky palm and eye thing.... Quoting: WTF 9706738 Any thoughts? That's the evil eye symbol, to ward off bad energy. Frequently seen and used in countries in the Mediterranean. No big deal, tons of people wear jewelry like this, in fact, it's a fad right now in Hollywood. |
