When a world power like Russia puts nuclear missiles on your doorstep you have one hell of a problem to deal with.

Kennedy did a fantastic job. Obama (being the diplomat he is) is likely to do a superb job at diffusing the crisis too.

What worries me is that Putin isn't reckless like Krushchev. He's a different kettle of fish entirely.
